tooz technologies, a Carl Zeiss venture, develops and engineers lenses and optical engines for smart glasses. Beyond that core, the company operates a proven partner network delivering full working reference solutions built on its proprietary optics platform — protected by more than 300 patents and validated in its own lab for mass manufacturability. We designed and built the companion product layer on top of that hardware: pairing and connection state, brightness and do-not-disturb controls, battery and device health, and a curated app surface pushing weather, time, navigation, translation, activity, and messages onto the lens. The interface had to stay legible at a glance on a display measured in millimeters, so every screen was reduced to a single glanceable card with the controls one tap away.
